Area D Water System Users – Water Outage

There will be a water outage on Tuesday, January 16th, 2024, so the SRD can repair a water leak along South Island Highway (SIH). The Water shutdown will occur between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm and will impact the residents on the east side of the South Island Highway, between 3747 SIH and 3781 SIH.
There may be disruption in the surrounding neighbourhood should additional valves need to be closed to allow the work to proceed.
Following the repair, Residents in the area may experience cloudy or discoloured water due to sediments in the pipe being stirred up by the leak and repair. If water appears murky, run cold taps for up to 5 minutes until clear; use high-flow taps like bathtubs if possible.
