Campbell River, BC – The Strathcona Regional District (SRD) extends its warmest congratulations to Judy Hagen, Emergency Support Services (ESS) Director for Quadra Island, on receiving the Public Safety Volunteer Lifetime Achievement Award.
“Our public safety volunteers are critical to the safety of our communities. Judy Hagen, who has demonstrated long-term commitment to this need over decades of volunteer work, deserves high praise for all she’s done,” said SRD Board Chair Michele Babchuk. “Thank-you Judy for your hard work over so many years throughout BC – we are so glad that your contribution is being celebrated in this way.”
Judy has held the position of ESS Director for Quadra Island since she co-founded the Emergency Program in 2006 and also serves as a volunteer with the Quadra Island Fire Department and RCMP Speedwatch program and other local organizations. Prior to coming to Quadra Island, Judy was a key volunteer in Invermere, BC in Community Policing and Crime Prevention. The Public Safety Volunteer Lifetime Achievement Award is the top honour for public safety volunteers in BC.
