Public Hearing for Bylaw Nos. 412 and 413 to commence at: 7:00 p.m.
Area affected by proposed Bylaw Nos. 412 and 413: The subject area is legally described as Lot A, District Lot 190, Quadra Island, Sayward Land District, Plan 39818, as shown on the map below.
Purpose of proposed Bylaw Nos. 412 and 413: Bylaw No. 412, if adopted, would re-designate the subject area from Rural Residential (RR) to Country Residential (CR). Bylaw No. 413, if adopted, would rezone the aforementioned from Rural Two (RU-2) to Country Residential Two (CR-2) to facilitate the subdivision of the 2.02-hectare property into two equal parcels.
Copies of the proposed bylaws and related information are available for inspection by appointment at the Strathcona Regional District Customer Service Centre, located at #102 – 990 Cedar Street, Campbell River, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, from January 27, 2021 until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 10, 2021. The Bylaws and associated staff reports may also be viewed on the Strathcona Regional District website at www.srd.ca.
The public hearing will be held by a delegation of Electoral Area directors representing the Strathcona Regional District Board. Attendance at the public hearing will be available virtually by pasting this link into your internet browser: https://srd.ca/meetnow Anyone who believes their interests are affected by the proposed bylaws will be given an opportunity to be heard at the public hearing virtually via the link and/or telephone number provided above and through a call-in feature as provided during the comments portion of the hearing.
Written submissions from persons who are attending the hearing virtually must be delivered by hand or electronically to the Regional District office no later than 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 in order to be considered as part of the public hearing record. The Strathcona Regional District cannot consider any representations made after the close of the public hearing.
