BYLAW NO. 498 – QUADRA ISLAND ZONING BYLAW, 1990, Amendment No. 142

Public Hearing to commence at: 6:30 p.m.
Area affected by proposed Bylaws 497 and 498: The subject area is legally described as an unsurveyed portion of District Lot 209, Quadra Island, Sayward District, Exc. Plan 778R (as shown on Maps 1 & 2 below).
Purpose of proposed Bylaws 497 and 498: Bylaw No. 497, if adopted, would re-designate the subject portion from Commercial (C) to Residential (R), whereas Bylaw No. 498, if adopted, would rezone the portion from Commercial Two (C-2) to a new Residential Two (R-2) zone to facilitate a 13-lot strata subdivision.

Copies of the proposed bylaws and related information are available for inspection at the Strathcona Regional District Customer Service Centre, located at #102 – 990 Cedar Street, Campbell River, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, from September 6, 2023, until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2023. The public hearing will be chaired by the Director of Electoral Area C representing the SRD Board. Anyone who believes their interests are affected by the proposed bylaws will be given an opportunity to be heard at the public hearing. Written submissions from persons who are unable to attend the public hearing must be delivered by hand or electronically to the Regional District office no later than 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 in order to be considered as part of the public hearing record. The Strathcona Regional District cannot consider any representations made after the close of the public hearing.
