The Strathcona Regional District provides Street Lighting services to the Quathiaski Cove area of Quadra Island, and some portions of Electoral Area D.
In the summer of 2019, BC Hydro is aiming to implement a process, whereby private residents no longer have to work through the SRD but will be able to report street light outages through the BC Hydro website. Until then, the only method to have street light outages in the above-mentioned two areas addressed, is for residents to phone the SRD at 250.380.6718 or email email@example.com. Residents will need to report the street light in question by providing the pole number or the physical address nearest the pole, which the SRD will then report to BC Hydro.
Street Lighting within the five municipalities within the Strathcona Regional District (Campbell River, Tahsis, Sayward, Gold River and Zeballos) is provided by the municipalities.
