The Northern Area D water service has experienced a second, less significant leak on McGimpsey Road.

9:00 am – The Northern Area D water service has experienced a second, less significant leak on McGimpsey Rd. Crews from Campbell River are fixing it now.
The water main on McGimpsey Rd is shut down for repairs and service will be interrupted for residents between 98 and 170 McGimpsey on both sides of the street. There is no ETA for service resumption currently.
When water resumes, residents in the area may experience cloudy or discoloured water due to sediments in the pipe being stirred up by the leak and repair. If water appears murky, run cold taps for up to 5 minutes until clear; use high-flow taps like bathtubs if possible
