BYLAW NO. 433 – QUADRA ISLAND ZONING BYLAW, 1990, Amendment No. 136
Date: Wednesday, November 23, 2022
Location: Quadra Island Community Centre, 970 West Road, Quathiaski Cove BC
When: Public Hearing for Bylaw Nos. 432 and 433 to commence at 7:00 p.m.
Area affected by proposed Bylaw Nos. 432 and 433: The subject area is legally described as Lot 2, District Lots 122 and 154, Sayward District, Plan 36442, Exc. Part in Plans VIP75891 and EPP98484, as shown on the map below.
Purpose of proposed Bylaw Nos. 432 and 433: Bylaw No. 432, if adopted, would amend the Recreation Commercial designation on the subject parcel to include associated secondary accessory recreational vehicle site uses. Bylaw No. 433, if adopted, would amend the Recreation Commercial One (RC-1) zone to include recreational vehicle sites as a permitted accessory use of land, subject to Conditions of Use as laid out in the proposed amendment to the zoning bylaw.

Copies of the proposed bylaws and related information are available for inspection by appointment at the Strathcona Regional District Customer Service Centre, located at #102 – 990 Cedar Street, Campbell River, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, from November 7, 2022 until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, excluding the statutory holiday on November 11, 2022.
The public hearing will be held by a delegation of Electoral Area directors representing the Strathcona Regional District Board. Anyone who believes their interests are affected by the proposed bylaws will be given an opportunity to be heard during the comments portion of the hearing. Written submissions from persons who are unable to attend the hearing must be delivered by hand or electronically to the Regional District office no later than 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 in order to be considered as part of the public hearing record. The Strathcona Regional District cannot consider any representations made after the close of the public hearing.
Please do not re-submit previously submitted comments regarding the current proposed bylaws, as those comments already form part of the public hearing record.
