Bylaw 465 Public Hearing to commence at: 7:00 p.m.
Bylaw 471 & 472 Public Hearing to commence immediately following the close of the Bylaw 465 Hearing.
Area affected by proposed Bylaw 465: The subject area is legally described as Lot 4, District Lot 8, Quadra Island, Sayward District, Plan 3162 (as shown on Map 1 below).
Purpose of proposed Bylaw 465: The bylaw, if adopted, would rezone the subject parcel to a proposed new Village Peripheral Residential One (VPR-1) zone to facilitate a subdivision of the parcel into two lots.
Area affected by proposed Bylaws 471 and 472: The subject area is legally described as Lot 4, District Lot 202, Sayward District, Plan 38031 (as shown on Maps 2 and 3 below).
Purpose of proposed Bylaws 471 and 472: Bylaw No. 471, if adopted, would re-designate the subject parcel from Rural (RU) to Country Residential (CR), whereas Bylaw No. 472, if adopted, would rezone the parcel from Rural One (RU-1) to Country Residential Two (CR-2) to facilitate a subdivision of the parcel into two lots.
Copies of the proposed bylaws and related information are available for inspection at the Strathcona Regional District Customer Service Centre, located at #102 – 990 Cedar Street, Campbell River, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, from November 14, 2022, until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. The public hearings will be held by a delegation of Electoral Area directors representing the Strathcona Regional District Board. Anyone who believes their interests are affected by the proposed bylaws will be given an opportunity to be heard during the comments portion of the hearings. Written submissions from persons who are unable to attend the public hearings must be delivered by hand or electronically to the Regional District office no later than 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 to be considered as part of the public hearing record. The Strathcona Regional District cannot consider any representations made after the close of the public hearings.
