BYLAW NO. 526 – CAMPBELL RIVER AREA ZONING BYLAW, 1991, Amendment No. 67

Start Time: 6:30 p.m.
Subject Area: The subject area is land legally described as Lot 4, Section 34, Township 4, Comox District, Plan VIP43648 as shown on Maps 1 & 2 below.
Purpose: Bylaw No. 525, if adopted, would re-designate the westerly 3250 square metres of the subject area from Country Residential (CR) to Residential (R), whereas Bylaw No. 526, if adopted, would rezone the westerly 3250 square metres of the subject area from Country Residential Four (CR-4) to Residential Three (R-3) and the balance of the subject area from Country Residential Four (CR-4) to Country Residential Two (CR-2), to facilitate subdivision of the land into four lots, ranging in size from 3250 to 6850 square metres.

Copies of the proposed bylaws and related information are available for inspection at the Strathcona Regional District (SRD) Customer Service Centre, located at 990 Cedar Street, Campbell River, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, from October 20, 2023 until 12:00 noon on Thursday, November 2, 2023.
The public hearing will be chaired by the Director of Electoral Area D representing the SRD Board. Anyone who believes their interests are affected by the proposed bylaws will be given an opportunity to be heard at the public hearing. Persons unable to attend the hearing can submit signed written submissions to form part of the public hearing record provided submissions are delivered via post, by hand to the SRD Community Services Desk or electronically to planning@srd.ca no later than 12:00 noon on Thursday, November 2, 2023. Submissions that do not meet the above requirements or are made after the close of the public hearing cannot be considered.
