BYLAW NO. 340 – QUADRA ISLAND ZONING BYLAW, 1990, Amendment No. 125

Public Hearing to commence at: 7:00 p.m.
Area affected by proposed Bylaw: The subject area is described as unsurveyed Crown foreshore or land covered by water abutting Lot 1, Plan VIP57456, Coast Range 1 Land District, as shown on the map attached.
Purpose of proposed Bylaw: The bylaw, if adopted, would rezone approximately one hectare of unsurveyed Crown foreshore or land covered by water being part of the bed of Shoal Bay, East Thurlow Island, to allow a private dock.
Copies of the proposed bylaw and related information are available for inspection at the Strathcona Regional District Customer Service Centre, located at #102 – 990 Cedar Street, Campbell River, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, February 1, 2019, until 12:00 noon on Wednesday, February 13, 2019. The Bylaws and associated staff report may also be viewed on the Strathcona Regional District website at www.srd.ca.
The public hearing will be held by a delegation of Electoral Area directors representing the Strathcona Regional District Board. Anyone who believes their interests are affected by the proposed bylaws will be given an opportunity to be heard or to file a written submission at the public hearing.
Written submissions from persons who are unable to attend the public hearing must be delivered by hand or electronically to the Regional District office no later than 12:00 noon on Wednesday, February 13, 2019, in order to be considered as part of the public hearing record. The Strathcona Regional District cannot consider any representations made after the close of the public hearing.
