Location of Public Hearing: Quadra Island Community Centre, 970 West Road, Quathiaski Cove BC

Public Hearing to commence at: 7:00 p.m.

Area affected by proposed Bylaw 354: The subject area is described as Part District Lots 1431 and 1903 and unsurveyed Crown foreshore or land covered by water being part of the bed of Cordero Channel, Range 1, Coast District and containing 2.1 hectares, more or less (Crown Land files 2409196 and 2408586), as shown on the map below.

Purpose of proposed Bylaw 354: The bylaw, if adopted, would realign the zoning boundaries of an upland and a foreshore Crown Land tenure to bring them into compliance with the zoning bylaw.

Copies of the proposed bylaw and related information are available for inspection at the Strathcona Regional District Customer Service Centre, located at #102 – 990 Cedar Street, Campbell River, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, from November 22, 2019, until Wednesday, December 4, 2019.

The public hearing will be held by a delegation of Electoral Area directors representing the Strathcona Regional District Board. Anyone who believes their interests are affected by the proposed bylaw will be given an opportunity to be heard or to file a written submission at the public hearing.

Written submissions from persons who are unable to attend the public hearing must be delivered by hand or electronically to the Regional District office no later than 12:00 noon on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, in order to be considered as part of the public hearing record. The Strathcona Regional District cannot consider any representations made after the close of the public hearing.
