BYLAW NO. 477 – CAMPBELL RIVER AREA ZONING BYLAW, 1991, Amendment No. 61

Notice is hereby given under Sections 464(2) and 467 of the Local Government Act that the Strathcona Regional District has waived the holding of a public hearing in relation to Zoning Amendment Bylaw No. 477, 2022. The SRD provides notice of the waiving of the public hearing and its intent to consider Third Reading and adoption of Bylaw No. 477 during a regular Board meeting starting at 12:30pm on February 8, 2023.

Area affected by proposed Bylaw 477: The subject area is legally described as Lot 2, District Lot 85, Comox District, Plan EPP122765 as shown on the map below.

Purpose of proposed Bylaw 477: The bylaw, if adopted, would rezone the subject parcel to Residential Three A (R3-A) to increase the permitted density over the lands to two single family dwellings.

Copies of the proposed bylaw and related information are available for inspection at the Strathcona Regional District Customer Service Centre, located at #102 – 990 Cedar Street, Campbell River, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, from February 1, 2023 until 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2023.

Anyone who believes their interests are affected by the proposed bylaw will be given an opportunity to provide comments in the form of a written submission in advance of Board consideration of Third Reading. Written submissions must be delivered by hand or electronically to the Regional District office no later than 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 in order to be considered by the SRD Board.
