NEWCASTLE CREEK (SAYWARD) WILDFIRE UPDATE – WED MAY 31 4:00 PM

The outlook remains positive and risk to residents and infrastructure is still low at this time.

The fire is currently 160 ha. The size adjustment is due primarily to better flyover conditions and less smoke. This allowed a more accurate track of the fire perimeter.
The fire has not moved closer to the Village. The weather conditions remain favourable for fire control and the fire has remained inside the expected perimeters. The outlook remains positive and risk to residents and infrastructure is still low at this time.
