HEARING FOR BYLAW NO. 564 – QUADRA ISLAND ZONING BYLAW 1990, Amendment No. 149
Start Time: 5:30pm.
Subject Area: All lands within Bylaw No. 1213 Quadra Island Zoning Bylaw for which residential use is permitted.
Purpose: To propose zoning bylaw amendments to regulate Short-Term Rentals (STRs) on Quadra Island in response to Bill 35, the Short-Term Rental Accommodations Act, 2023. The bylaw proposes to allow STRs as an accessory use in all zones for which residential use is permitted.
HEARING FOR BYLAW NO. 510 – QUADRA ISLAND ZONING BYLAW 1990, Amendment No. 142
Start Time: 7:00 p.m.
Subject Area: All lands within Bylaw No. 1213 Quadra Island Zoning Bylaw.
Purpose: To propose zoning bylaw amendments to regulate the processing, bottling, or sale of bulk water. The bylaw proposes to prohibit bulk water processing, bottling and sales but specifically excludes receipt of water by parcels of land where supplemental water is required to enable private domestic, agricultural, commercial or industrial consumption as permitted by zoning.
