Public Meeting to commence at:  9:45 a.m.

Area affected by proposed TUP: The subject area is described as Lot 3, District Lot 90, Comox District, Plan VIP53282 as shown on the map below.

Purpose of proposed TUP: The Permit, if adopted, would allow for the placement of up to 12 recreational vehicles on the affected property during the temporary closure of the neighbouring Seadrift Resort, while a new sewage disposal system is installed at the Resort. The applicant is to provide potable water, electricity and a regular waste water pump out service to the RVs during this time. If issued, the TUP would be valid for a three-month period.

Copies of the proposed Temporary Use Permit and related information are available for inspection at the Strathcona Regional District Customer Service Centre, located at #102 – 990 Cedar Street, Campbell River, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays. The TUP and associated staff report may also be viewed on the Strathcona Regional District website at www.srd.ca.

The public meeting will be held by the Electoral Area directors representing the Strathcona Regional District Board. Anyone who believes their interests are affected by the proposed TUP will be given an opportunity to be heard at the public meeting.

Written submissions from persons who are unable to attend the public meeting must be delivered by hand or electronically to the Regional District office no later than 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 in order to be considered as part of the public meeting record. The Strathcona Regional District cannot consider any representations made after the close of the public meeting.
