NEWCASTLE CREEK (SAYWARD) WILDFIRE UPDATE 2:45 pm June 2/23.

The outlook remains positive and risk to residents and infrastructure is still low at this time.

The fire is 208 HA, size change is due to more accurate information from the flyover last night. The fire has not moved closer to the Village and has remained inside the expected perimeters. It is currently burning into extremely steep slopes and the BC Wildfire crew are preparing strategies and tactics for this area.
