BYLAW NO. 276 – OYSTER BAY / BUTTLE LAKE OFFICIAL COMMUNITY PLAN BYLAW, 2023

Date of Public Hearing: Wednesday, December 6, 2023

Location of Public Hearing: Banquet Hall, Oyster Bay Resorts, 4357 Island Hwy. S., Campbell River BC

Public Hearing to commence at: 7:00 p.m.

Subject Area: The subject area is legally described as Electoral Area D of the Strathcona Regional District

Purpose: The bylaw, if adopted, would implement a new Official Community Plan for the Electoral Area, covering such issues as housing, parks, environmental protection and hazard mitigation, transportation connectivity and other land use matters.

Copies of the proposed bylaws and related information are available for inspection at the Strathcona Regional District (SRD) Customer Service Centre, located at 990 Cedar Street, Campbell River, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, from November 24, 2023 until 12:00 noon on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.

The public hearing will be chaired by the Director of Electoral Area D representing the SRD Board. Anyone who believes their interests are affected by the proposed bylaws will be given an opportunity to be heard at the public hearing. Persons unable to attend the hearings can submit signed written submissions to form part of the public hearing record provided submissions are delivered via post, by hand to the SRD Community Services Desk or electronically to planning@srd.ca no later than 12:00 noon on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. Submissions that do not meet the above requirements or are made after the close of the public hearings cannot be considered.
