NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING – BYLAW NOs. 530 & 531 – AREA C (Stevenson)

BYLAW NO. 530 – QUADRA ISLAND OFFICIAL COMMUNITY PLAN BYLAW, 2007, Amendment No. 19 and BYLAW NO. 531 – QUADRA ISLAND ZONING BYLAW, 1990, Amendment No. 145

Location of Public Hearing: Quadra Island Community Centre, 970 West Road, Quathiaski Cove BC
Public Hearing to commence at: 6:30 p.m.

Subject Area: The subject area is legally described as Lot 7, District Lot 201, Sayward District, Quadra Island, Plan 30864
Purpose: Bylaw No. 530, if adopted, would re-designate the subject parcel from Rural (RU) to Rural Residential (RR), whereas Bylaw No. 531, if adopted, would rezone the parcel from Rural One (RU-1) to Rural Two (RU-2) to facilitate a subdivision of the parcel into two lots.

Copies of the proposed bylaws and related information are available for inspection at the Strathcona Regional District Customer Service Centre, located at 990 Cedar Street, Campbell River, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, from November 24, 2023 until 12:00 noon on Monday, December 4, 2023.

The public hearing will be chaired by the Director of Electoral Area C representing the SRD Board. Anyone who believes their interests are affected by the proposed bylaw will be given an opportunity to be heard at the public hearing. Persons unable to attend the hearing can submit signed written submissions to form part of the public hearing record provided submissions are delivered via post, by hand to the SRD Community Services Desk or electronically to planning@srd.ca no later than 12:00 noon on Monday, December 4, 2023. Submissions that do not meet the above requirements or are made after the close of the public hearing cannot be considered.
