Coastal Fire Centre has flown the area in a helicopter looking for a new fire and has not found one. If you see a plume of smoke CALL 1-800-663-5555 or *5555 by cell

Newcastle Creek Fire has NOT left the containment lines and is still held. The fire is still burning within the perimeters of the Newcastle Creek Fire which will continue to create variable amounts of smoke in different weather conditions.

Smoke may cause mild irritation and discomfort but can result in a dry cough, sore throat and difficulty breathing. People with pre-existing health conditions, respiratory infections, older adults, pregnant women, children and infants are more likely to experience health effects from smoke exposure.
